If you've ever tried our signature ice cream, you'll know it's not your average scoop. It is a bit crunchy, creamy and rich and made the Italian way- by hand right here in Wales.
We wanted to kick off the start of this blog by sharing the story behind it. When we first started Aran Hufen Ia, we knew we wanted to make ice cream that is special. Something you'd remember long after your holiday in Bala or Dolgellau. For us, honeycomb was the flavour that did that. Sweet, nostalgic and just a little bit magical.
How we make it?
No nasties. No shortcuts. Just real sugar, golden syrup and a whole lot of care.
We cook our honeycomb the traditional way- watching it bubble up into golden perfection- before smashing it into shard and folding it into our slow churned base. The result? A scoop that has a hit of caramel, cream and is totally addictive.
Why it matters?
Making ice cream from scratch isn't the quickest route, but its the one that feels right. It means we can support Welsh farmers. It means we know exactly what is going into each tub. Plus it means you get a treat that's packed with flavour and no nasties.
